"I was disqualified in my first [track] race for accidentally tripping the girl next to me by running into her lane. The judge shot a gun in the air to end the race early but I didn’t know what it meant so I kept running until i got to the end and realized I had run the whole way by myself."

"I’m probably a bit of a bore to most people because my favorite things are just hanging out in bookstores, reading, and walking around the city."

"A lot of models get caught up in partying and drugs. I personally want to be able to do this for as long as I can, and I don’t want to jeopardize it by going out and getting drunk, then showing up three hours late for my job the next morning looking like I stayed up all night. It’s such a special thing we’re able to do. I just think that people need to appreciate it more."

"When Ali was little, she was into superheroes and would dress and act like them, especially Michelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Superman. She was always into the male characters; she was such a tomboy. She would even dress Ken instead of Barbie in girl clothes."

"This is really awkward but last Thanksgiving my family had KFC, so I would probably be OK missing it. My mom is not gonna be happy that I shared that."

"I was awkward, weird and really insecure in school. Guys didn’t find me attractive and I never had a boyfriend until high school. When I was just working in Dallas my school newspaper ran a picture and story about me and I remember hearing about people scribbling my face out of the picture and talking about how ugly I was."

"I believed in Santa probably until I was about eight years old or so. Santa used to leave me a typed letter every Christmas morning. One day when I was looking through my mom’s computer to find something for school, I accidentally opened the folder that held the exact letters that Santa had left me. It was kind of devastating."
